Unauthorized Clinic in Hue Shutdown Following Severe Regulatory Violations

On December 22, the Hue City Department of Health announced an administrative penalty against the Mb Center (located on To Huu Street, Vy Da Ward). This action followed an interdisciplinary inspection triggered by allegations that the facility performed unverified medical procedures, such as “blood grafting” for sinusitis, charging exorbitant fees while causing adverse health effects for clients.

The investigation identified several critical violations:

  • Providing medical services without an official operating license.

  • Employing staff who lack the required professional certifications and legal practice permits.

  • Utilizing medical equipment of unknown origin, lacking circulation or import permits.

  • A total lack of transparency regarding service pricing.

The total financial penalty for the facility owner amounts to 97 million VND. Additionally, an individual directly involved in unauthorized treatment was fined 35 million VND. Although the unit was originally only licensed for traditional medicine at the ward level, it significantly exceeded its authorized scope of operation. The facility has now been ordered to cease all activities, and local regulators will maintain close supervision to prevent recurrences and ensure patient safety.
