In an effort to enhance high-tech medical capacity, the Ho Chi Minh City authorities have officially commenced the construction of a complex featuring three key projects in Tan Nhut Commune, Binh Chánh District. These projects include a new emergency response facility, a blood storage unit, and a laboratory quality control center.
With a total investment exceeding 1,400 billion VND from the municipal budget, this cluster is designed with a synchronized scale of 9 floors and one basement. The primary objective of the project is to optimize the medical network in the area bordering the Western provinces, helping to minimize travel time in emergency medical situations, while also standardizing laboratory systems and ensuring the blood supply for the entire region. According to the timeline, the main components of this medical complex are expected to be completed by 2026.
During the same period, in the city center, Children’s Hospital 1 began the construction of a specialized treatment block for infectious and tropical diseases. The project, with an investment of over 349 billion VND and a capacity of 120 beds, is anticipated to be finished by early 2027 to expand pediatric disease control capabilities according to international standards.
