The health sector of Bac Ninh province has marked a milestone in its modernization roadmap by signing a strategic cooperation agreement with the Vietnam Association for Research and Application of Bio-Medical Technology. This agreement focuses on integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital data solutions into the provincial healthcare system.
Core technological pillars The partnership identifies four core tasks to transform the local healthcare landscape:
-
Establishing a Medical Operation Center: Setting up a centralized data management system, digitizing electronic health records, and ensuring medical data security.
-
Clinical AI Application: Implementing tools to support diagnosis, treatment, and precision medicine.
-
Digital Human Resource Development: Training medical staff to master new technologies and advanced data analytics.
-
Research Commercialization: Collaborating on the transfer of biotechnology and pharmacology, mobilizing resources to apply research results to clinical practice.
Launching a large-scale AI training project Following the signing ceremony, the “AI Opportunity for Vietnamese Healthcare Workers” project was launched in Bac Ninh. Supported by international organizations such as Google.org and ADB, the project aims to provide AI capacity training for 15,000 healthcare workers nationwide. In Bac Ninh, the first group of nearly 200 medical professionals participated in training to apply AI in administrative management and scientific research.
Local health authorities expect that mastering technology will serve as a lever to bridge the expertise gap, improve diagnostic efficiency, and provide high-quality healthcare services to the public.
