Hanoi-based cosmetic company fined for regulatory non-compliance

The Drug Administration of Vietnam (Ministry of Health) has issued an administrative fine of 150 million VND against Van Minh Trading Co., Ltd, located in Dong Da District, Hanoi. The penalty follows a series of inspections that revealed significant violations concerning the commercialization of cosmetic products.

The authorities identified two primary categories of misconduct:

  1. Misleading product labeling: Four cosmetic items, including specific serums and revitalizing creams, were found to feature therapeutic claims that did not reflect the actual nature of the goods or the registered documentation.

  2. Formula discrepancies: Another four products, such as sunscreens and facial cleansers, contained ingredients that deviated from the technical dossiers previously approved by regulatory bodies.

In response to these findings, the Drug Administration has revoked the product notification receipts for all eight involved items. The company is legally mandated to recall the mislabeled products from the market and proceed with the disposal of those manufactured with incorrect formulas.

Furthermore, the regulatory agency has officially suspended the processing of any new cosmetic product notifications from this enterprise to ensure strict adherence to industry standards and consumer safety.
