Lam Dong authorities penalize multiple dental clinics for medical violations

The Lam Dong health authorities have announced administrative fines and operational suspensions for several dental clinics after discovering significant violations in licensing and operational procedures.

Long-term suspensions for unlicensed facilities

During a recent inspection, the Lam Dong Department of Health identified three establishments—Net Duyen Dental, Tan Phat Dental, and Duc Tung Dental—providing medical examination and treatment services without the required operational licenses.

Pursuant to Decree 117/2020/ND-CP, each of these facilities was fined 45 million VND. Additionally, regulators imposed a supplementary penalty of an 18-month suspension of all activities to rectify their legal status and comply with official standards.

Sanctions for administrative and reporting lapses

In addition to the unlicensed facilities, Saigon Dental was fined 8 million VND for three specific administrative violations:

  • Signage non-compliance: The clinic’s signboard failed to display all legally mandated information.

  • Personnel management: Failure to report changes in practicing personnel to the competent state authorities.

  • Professional records: Incomplete documentation and maintenance of medical examination and treatment logs as required by law.

The total fines for this enforcement round reached 143 triệu đồng. This decisive action by the local health department aims to purify the dental service market, ensuring public safety and transparency within the private healthcare sector.
