Health authorities in Lam Dong province have recently released a list of suspended medical establishments and requested local government coordination for strict monitoring. This move aims to rectify the provision of healthcare services without proper legal certification.
Decisive action against administrative violations
Through inspections, the Lam Dong Department of Health identified five medical business units in Da Lat city and neighboring districts committed serious licensing violations. Specifically, these included a medical care business in Cam Ly ward (Da Lat) and four dental clinics in the communes of Duc Lap, Quang Phu, and Nam Nung.
All of these facilities were found to be conducting medical examinations and treatments without a valid operating license.
Sanctions and post-inspection measures
The regulatory body has implemented synchronized disciplinary measures for the aforementioned violations:
-
Financial penalties: Each violating unit was fined 45 million VND.
-
Operational restrictions: A total suspension of professional activities for 18 months. These facilities are only permitted to resume operations once they have obtained full legal licensing.
The Department of Health has also issued official documents to the People’s Committees and police forces of the relevant wards and communes, requesting an enhanced role in local inspection and supervision. Should these units be found operating during their suspension period, local authorities are responsible for taking strict action or reporting to higher authorities for timely intervention, while also publicly disclosing the information to alert the community.
