The Drug Administration of Vietnam, under the Ministry of Health, has issued an administrative sanction against Medipharco Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (headquartered in Hue City) regarding a batch of Ofleye Drops. Specifically, batch number 011024, produced in late October 2024, was identified as having a Level 3 quality violation.
Under current legal frameworks, this level of violation includes technical discrepancies that do not pose an immediate threat to safety or treatment efficacy but fail to match the registered profile (such as variances in pH levels, volume, sensory indicators, or labeling). Based on these findings, the company has been fined 50 million VND.
Furthermore, to maintain strict discipline within the pharmaceutical market, the entire batch of the affected product must be destroyed under supervision. This regulatory action is part of ongoing efforts to tighten production oversight and ensure that all products in circulation strictly adhere to approved technical specifications.
