Healthcare expansion projects in Ho Chi Minh City and Ninh Binh The healthcare sector has announced that a major hospital extension in Ho Chi Minh City is scheduled for groundbreaking in the final quarter of 2026. This project represents a total investment of 6,458 billion VND, primarily funded through Japanese ODA. The facility is expected to be fully functional by 2030, aiming to decentralize medical services and reduce pressure on the city center.

Meanwhile, in Northern Vietnam, Ninh Binh province is set to strengthen its role as a regional medical hub. Along with the upcoming operation of two major central hospital branches, the government is accelerating plans for a new geriatric facility in the province to serve the aging population in the surrounding regions.

Rapid capital growth of an electric vehicle service company An electric vehicle rental firm has reported a significant surge in its charter capital. Starting from an initial 200 billion VND in mid-2024, the company’s capital has been raised to 3,900 billion VND by the end of 2025. The enterprise, currently managed by Mr. Pham Nhat Minh Hoang, has seen substantial growth within its first 18 months of operation.

Forecast for pangasius exports through 2026 Vietnam’s pangasius industry is targeting an export turnover of 2.3 billion USD for 2026. China continues to be the largest consumer, followed by the United States and the EU. Industry leaders suggest that focusing on global sustainability certifications and increasing the production of value-added products will be crucial for maintaining growth amidst shifting international trade policies.
