Hospital 108 establishes digital and personalized medicine roadmap via AI

On March 21, 2026, in Hanoi, the 108 Military Central Hospital hosted its Annual Scientific Conference, focusing on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data. Attracting over 500 medical experts, the event marked the institution’s 75th anniversary by reaffirming its strategy to master digital technology in medicine.

Strategic directions from the conference:

  • Technology as a Pillar of Growth: Hospital leadership emphasized that AI and Big Data are no longer distant trends but essential tools for enhancing competitiveness and treatment quality. The goal is to build a synchronized digital health ecosystem where clinical data is standardized and interconnected.

  • Personalized Treatment Protocols: By leveraging Big Data, the hospital aims to predict diseases early and design unique treatment plans for individual patients, moving away from generic protocols.

  • Breakthroughs in Surgery: In-depth reports introduced advancements in precision surgery using 3D modeling and next-generation regenerative materials. This allows surgeons to plan interventions in detail, minimizing invasiveness and optimizing recovery outcomes.

  • Global Knowledge Integration: Featuring 27 high-quality reports from domestic and international scientists, the conference discussed the role of deep learning in diagnostic imaging and AI-powered automated infection surveillance systems.

The institution’s vision is to transform raw data into clinical insights, bringing Vietnamese medicine closer to international standards in the digital era.
