On the morning of January 15, in Hanoi, the Medical Subcommittee for the 14th National Party Congress held a comprehensive review of health protection plans. According to official reports, a team of more than 300 medical staff, including leading experts in cardiology, intensive care, neurology, and surgery, has been mobilized to be ready for duty.
The medical support system for the event is strictly established with the coordination of major hospitals in the capital, such as Bach Mai, Huu Nghi, Viet Duc, and Central Military Hospital 108. These units are required to maintain 5–10 standby emergency beds and deploy medical teams with ambulances on 24/7 duty at event venues starting from January 18, 2026. Additionally, medical forces from the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security have strengthened mobile emergency teams and disaster relief squads to respond to any situation.
In addition to emergency response, infectious disease control and food safety are top priorities. Specialized units are collaborating with the Hanoi Department of Health and the Hanoi CDC to continuously monitor water sources and food quality at accommodation facilities. To ensure smooth coordination, a specialized “Medical Handbook” has been issued to help forces master their positions, responsibilities, and procedures for handling any incidents throughout the duration of the event.
