A hub for medical innovation and creativity The 31st Youth Medical Creative Technology Competition in Hanoi recently concluded, featuring nearly 400 young doctors and technicians from 32 medical institutions. Over its long history, this biennial event has evolved into a prestigious scientific forum where young talents showcase breakthrough initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care.

Integrating AI and digital transformation in clinical practice This year’s competition marked a significant trend toward digitalization and the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Distinguished projects included AI-powered tools for cancer screening via endoscopy, smart antibiotic management handbooks, and advanced data visualization platforms. These innovations assist clinicians in making faster, high-precision decisions while enabling more personalized treatment strategies for patients.

Furthermore, young practitioners demonstrated their mastery of advanced surgical procedures, such as fetal surgery simulations, minimally invasive hip replacements, and specialized endoscopic techniques, proving their readiness to handle complex medical challenges.

Empowering the next generation of healthcare providers To honor these academic contributions, the Hanoi People’s Committee awarded merit certificates to 19 top-tier projects. This recognition underscores the city’s commitment to fostering a research-oriented environment for its young medical workforce. The next edition of the competition is scheduled for 2027, to be hosted by Hanoi Ha Dong General Hospital, continuing the legacy of promoting cutting-edge medical advancements.
