Effective September 2026, People’s Hospital 115 will operationalize a new facility at the Hoa Hung site (formerly the District 10 Hospital premises). This strategic expansion, directed by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, aims to repurpose existing public infrastructure to meet the increasing demand for specialized stroke care and clinical space.
The Hoa Hung facility is situated just 180 meters from the hospital’s main campus, providing a seamless link for staff and patient transport. This acquisition serves a dual purpose: providing temporary treatment areas for hundreds of inpatients while a new 500-bed clinical building is under construction, and establishing a dedicated hub for post-stroke rehabilitation. As a leading institution managing nearly 18,000 stroke cases annually, People’s Hospital 115 intends to use this space to perfect a holistic care model: rapid emergency response, intensive treatment, and early-stage rehabilitation.
Health authorities noted that the proximity of the two sites significantly reduces the need for costly temporary structures while ensuring uninterrupted medical services. The renovation and upgrade of the Hoa Hung premises are currently underway, with an expected launch date of September 2, 2026. This move is a critical step in strengthening the city’s capacity to manage stroke—a leading cause of mortality and long-term disability in the region.
