Ho Chi Minh City authorities impose heavy fines and suspend unlicensed clinics

On the afternoon of April 28, 2026, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health announced a series of disciplinary actions against numerous medical facilities for severe regulatory violations. The penalties include substantial fines and operational suspensions, primarily due to unlicensed medical practice, unauthorized advertising, and performing procedures beyond their registered professional scope.

Masteri Dental Clinic topped the list with a 160 million VND fine and an 18-month suspension. Linh Anh Region Aesthetic Clinic followed with a 140 million VND fine and a 12-month closure for similar infractions. Additionally, Viet Khang Group and Hoang Gia Medical-Pharmaceutical Co. were sanctioned for exceeding their professional mandates, resulting in the temporary revocation of their operating licenses and the practicing certificates of their medical directors. Athena Dental Technology was also cited for inadequate price listings and non-compliant signage.

These enforcement actions come amid a broader crackdown on “underground” clinics and the trade of untraceable cosmetic products across the city. Health officials emphasized their commitment to intensified inspections and mandated the immediate removal of all misleading advertisements to safeguard public health and ensure consumer rights within the city’s healthcare sector.
