During the first 24 hours of the 2026 holiday period, healthcare facilities nationwide strictly adhered to emergency standing orders, ensuring timely treatment for all patients as directed by the Ministry of Health. Data from the Medical Examination and Treatment Management Department indicates a stable healthcare environment with no significant surges.

Key Operational Metrics (As of May 1, 2026)

  • Total Inpatients: 227,541 patients currently under care (an increase of nearly 7,000 compared to the previous morning).

  • Outpatient & Emergency Visits: Facilities handled 83,171 examination and emergency cases.

  • New Inpatient Admissions: 28,169 patients admitted; meanwhile, 22,373 patients were successfully treated and discharged.

  • Referrals: 2,054 patients were safely transferred to higher-level facilities.

Traffic Accident-Related Emergency Care

Medical facilities received 2,836 emergency cases suspected to be caused by traffic accidents over the past 24 hours. Of these:
