Hong Bang International University (HIU) has officially announced the appointment of Prof. Dr. Pham Van Linh as the Director of Van Phuc Hospital. This appointment marks a strategic milestone in perfecting the “hospital-university” model, where the university president concurrently leads the practicing hospital.
Implementing a modern medical training framework Van Phuc Hospital is currently finalizing procedures to be renamed Hong Bang International University Hospital. Under this integrated model, the hospital functions as a clinical lecture hall, seamlessly linking academic instruction, scientific research, and clinical treatment. This approach enables medical students to gain early exposure to real-world patient records, diagnostic techniques, and the operational dynamics of a modern healthcare system.
A leadership with extensive expertise Prof. Dr. Pham Van Linh is a leading expert with nearly 40 years of experience in both medical education and hospital management. Prior to his role as HIU President, he held prominent leadership positions, including President and Hospital Director at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in both Hue and Can Tho.
By operating its own practicing hospital, HIU distinguishes itself as one of the few private universities in Vietnam to provide an autonomous clinical environment, meeting the increasing demands for practical competence in the healthcare sector.
