Ho Chi Minh City ENT Hospital expands facilities to accelerate advanced medical techniques

Starting April 28, 2026, the Ho Chi Minh City Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Hospital will officially commence operations at its new annex located at 114 – 118 Tran Quoc Thao Street (District 3). This facility, formerly the District 3 Medical Center, was reassigned to the hospital as part of a city-wide effort to restructure the local healthcare network and optimize the use of public infrastructure.

The acquisition of this site, situated directly across from the existing treatment area, is expected to alleviate the chronic overcrowding that has challenged the hospital for years. According to the operational plan, the initial phase will involve relocating the emergency department and several outpatient clinics to the new premises. The expanded space will also house advanced diagnostic and functional testing services, including CT scanning, audiometry, tympanometry, and specialized endoscopy.

Health authorities noted that this expansion not only reduces patient waiting times but also provides the necessary strategic space for the South’s leading specialized hospital to develop new sub-specialties. This expansion is a critical step in accelerating the implementation of high-tech medical procedures and enhancing the hospital’s capacity to treat complex pathologies and manage urgent ENT emergencies effectively.
