The Vietnamese pharmaceutical landscape has seen a significant shift in corporate ownership at Imexpharm Pharmaceutical JSC (Ticker: IMP). As of May 12, 2026, Lian SGP Holding Pte. Ltd., an indirect subsidiary of China’s Livzon Pharmaceutical Group, has officially become the parent company of Imexpharm following the successful acquisition of over 104.5 million shares.
Transaction details and corporate valuation Through a public tender offer, Lian increased its stake in Imexpharm from 0% to 67.87% of the company’s charter capital. With a reported offer price of 57,400 VND per share, the transaction value is estimated at nearly 6 trillion VND, valuing Imexpharm at approximately 8.8 trillion VND. The shares were acquired from major shareholders including SK Investment, Sunrise, and KBA.
Profile of the new strategic shareholder Established in 1985, Livzon Pharmaceutical Group ranks among the top 25 pharmaceutical companies in China. The group is recognized for its robust R&D capabilities, particularly in FDA-approved injectable products. Currently, Livzon operates in more than 30 countries and territories worldwide, including the US, EU, and major Asian markets.
