Pharmaceutical firm supports 2026 community health screening campaign

As part of the activities commemorating World Health Day, AstraZeneca Vietnam has collaborated with the Ministry of Health to implement the “2026 People’s Health Day” program. The campaign focuses on the prevention and early detection of chronic diseases for the population.

Scale and Key Activities:

  • Free Screenings: The program is expected to assist over 5,000 citizens in accessing no-cost medical screenings. Focus areas include renal, cardiovascular, metabolic, and respiratory diseases, as well as various types of cancer.

  • Digital Integration: Diagnostic imaging at the event incorporates Artificial Intelligence (AI) alongside advanced laboratory tests to optimize accuracy in early-stage disease detection.

  • Collaborating Entities: The initiative is conducted with professional support from the Vietnam Young Physicians Association.

Strategic Vision: AstraZeneca Vietnam representatives emphasized that early detection of non-communicable diseases is a top priority to alleviate pressure on the public healthcare system. The company pledged to continue supporting the health sector’s digital transformation roadmap, fostering a shift from traditional curative models to proactive prevention for the long-term sustainability of public health in Vietnam.
