Ho Chi Minh City announces 58 free health screening locations for April 5

In celebration of World Health Day (April 7), the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health will launch a comprehensive, free specialized health screening campaign on Saturday, April 5, 2026. The program involves 58 medical institutions, including general and specialized hospitals as well as health centers, serving residents across 64 wards and communes.

Key screening services provided:

  • Non-communicable diseases: Screenings for hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions.

  • Cancer screenings: Early detection for breast, cervical, and thyroid cancers.

  • Specialized check-ups: Examinations for ENT (Ear-Nose-Throat), ophthalmology, odonto-stomatology, musculoskeletal issues, and mental health.

  • Pediatric focus: Children’s Hospital 1, 2, and the City Children’s Hospital will specifically screen for congenital heart disease and childhood obesity.

This initiative prioritizes suburban areas to ensure residents can access high-tech medical services directly at their local health stations. All examination data will be integrated into the electronic health record system, facilitating lifelong health management and continuous care for the city’s population.
